   On Thursday, April 17, 2025 GovTAP hosted an event featuring the State of Mississippi's CIO, Dr. Craig Orgeron, in Jackson, Mississippi. The event included, held at an offsite dinner, included a fireside chat with Dr. Orgeron,  who brings over twenty years of experience with Mississippi ITS and nearly a decade in the CIO role. Dr. Orgeron was joined by members of the ITS executive team. 

 GovTAP was proud to sponsor and attend the 2024 Public Sector Network Government Innovation Shows. in the following states:  Colorado – October 8th 

New York – November 6th 

Texas – November 12th Pennsylvania – December 4th  

On Tuesday, August 4, 2024 GovTAP hosted an event featuring Shawnzia Thomas, the State of Georgia's Chief Information Officer and Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) Executive Director. The event included a fireside chat with Shawnzia, who brings over 15 years of experience integrating technology across various sectors of state government to enhance services for Georgians. 

On Thursday, April 11, 2024 GovTAP hosted an event featuring the 

State of Indiana's CIO, Tracy Barnes. The event included a fireside chat with Tracy, who joined the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) in 2020, at a small offsite dinner. Additional State and Local government CIOs joined the conversation. 

On Tuesday, August 22, 2023 GovTAP hosted an event featuring the 

State of North Carolina's CIO, James Weaver. The event included a fireside chat with James as well as the CIOs of the City of Raleigh and Wake County at an offsite dinner. 

On August 31, 2023 GovTAP hosted a virtual vendor briefing where the CIO of the Department of Human Resources, Roozan Zarifian, shared priorities and goals and discuss how they are addressing innovation, transformation, and delivering digital services. 

On May 18, 2023 GovTAP hosted a vendor briefing. At this event, LA County IT Leaders from operationally focused departments shared their priorities and goals and discussed how they are addressing innovation, transformation, and delivering digital services. 

Featured CIO speakers included:  Aman Bhullar, Registrar Recorder County Clerk

Amin Almuhajab, Executive Office of the Board of Supervisors  

On March 2, 2023 GovTAP hosted a vendor briefing. At this event, LA County IT Leaders from community services departments shared their priorities and goals and discussed  how they are addressing innovation, transformation, and delivering digital services.

On Thursday, December 8, 2022 GovTAP hosted an event featuring the State of Florida's CIO, Jamie Grant. The event included a guided tour of the Florida Digital Service's Co-lab and a fireside chat with Jamie. Following the Co-lab event, attendees gathered for an offsite dinner.
